virginia named #1 state for business – again

July 23, 2009 (Richmond, VA) – Virginia proved once again that its strategy to attract businesses to the state and its ability to help businesses succeed is working. On July 23rd, Governor Timothy M. Kaine announced that CNBC, a worldwide leader in business news, named Virginia “Top State for Business.” The evaluation was based on 40 different measures in 10 categories, ranging from workforce quality to quality of life, and clearly demonstrates that Virginia has just the right combination of resources to help businesses grow and prosper.

Part of this success can be attributed to the consistent efforts of our client, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), the state authority responsible for marketing the state’s business assets.

Barber Martin Agency considers it a privilege to have been VEDP’s marketing partner for the past 12 years, and looks forward to continuing our collaborations moving forward.

Read more about the ranking here or visit VEDP’s website.
