frosty key tag promotion
Raising money for a local nonprofit and driving repeat sales to a local chain. That’s a pretty sweet deal. When we took the Richmond SPCA, the region’s #1 charity brand, to local Wendy’s franchises, we were able to do just that, while also re-energizing the SPCA brand.
The partnership forged back in 2008 with the Frosty Key Tag program, where a dollar donation to the SPCA gets Wendy’s customers a key tag entitling them to a free Junior Frosty with any purchase all year long. The first year, the program sold out all 30,000 key tags, resulting in net revenue to the SPCA of $24,000, a sales increase in the region for Wendy’s and a larger key tag order the following year.
